The much loved combination this week of a task taking exactly the amount of time we had available for the amount of people who came along!

Dave, Mel, Lindsay, Stu and Huw rolled into St Matthew's to meet handyman John from the St Matthew's Big Local charity who look after various parts of the estate including the fantastic multi-use games area which was the scene of our task tonight.

Many of our previous tasks there have been in the depths of winter - cold, dark, wet and windy and usually resulting in us having the freedom to use the track for our fitness session. Tonight it was amazing to see the place in the middle of summer, heaving with young people getting active.

John quickly issued us with our tools and we set to work, cutting back the hedge that was bursting through the site fence out on to the pavement over a stretch of about 50 metres. No problem for team GG, we snipped, lopped and bagged about fifteen 90 litre heavy duty bin bags, loaded John's trailer with as much as we could and stored the remaining bags (hopefully) safely up against the inside of the fence for his subsequent trips to dispose of them!

Super work gang, a real difference made once again!
