Kings of Queen's Wood

8 Goodgymmers from the Islington, Camden, Haringey and Barnet boroughs joined us for our January head torch run in Friday. We followed one of Area Activator Simon's local routes along the Parkland Walk (a former railway line between Finsbury Park and Highgate), and through the beautiful wilderness of Queen's Wood.

We ran as 2 separate groups on the night, with a crew starting from Highgate Station at 6.30pm, and then joining the rest of the team at Finsbury Park Picturehouse at 7pm (and adding an extra 5km or so to their total long run). Donning our reflective running kit and trusty Goodgym community mission headtorches, we made our way through the woods (and up some significant slopes) before congregating at The Woodsman pub in Highgate for some post run refreshments.
