Last night’s task was at a bustling Anerley Town Hall where we definitely got some funny looks from the martial arts masters… We were there to support the Crystal Palace Community Trust who run activities at the building, with some clearing out of a room in the basement.

Wood you rather?

James showed us our task, emptying two sides of a room and putting all the junk by the bins ready to be taken away. First up came some big wooden display boards of varying sizes. They were pretty awkward to manoeuvre but we got there in the end.

3 X table

Next up came several long tables which we got up the stairs and out onto the pile. Team work made the dream work, navigating the stairs as a 2 before 1 person took it the rest of the way.

Rolling green

Next up came what was possibly some kind of portable bowling green all rolled up. It took all 3 of us to shift it around the corners and up the stairs.

There were a few bags with things from boots to baubles to snooker balls which Catherine mostly handled.

Then came the finale…

The Three Dustketeers!

Alex did a cracking job getting a huge old filing cabinet half way up the stairs and just so he didn’t tear a muscle, we helped drag it the rest of the way.

Ace job gang! And a solid post-task outdoor gym sesh.👌
