A good turnout this evening with Goodgymers braving the onset of dark nights and damp weather to make the weekly group run and task.

Today's run began with our usual warm-up and a choice of walk or run to the nearby Manor Park. We assisted Kevin from ABCD with one of many litter picks he organises Luton wide.

Our route along the bed of the river Lea along the park perimeter yielded a bumper harvest of trash, predominantly aluminium cans and plastic bottles, so light and portable yet so challenging for consumers to carry to deposit in a bin.

The inescapable supermarket wire basket and a portion of trolley were retrieved as well as a 45rpm treasure from The Hollies circa 1966, but beyond spin doctoring.

After task a fitness session saw us doing a series of lunges, two point planks and burpees to the beat ( you had to be there . . . . ) and to celebrate with Martin on his task 101 we signed off with GG style cup cakes with chai lattes and some proper idle chat.
