Mission

Weed the patio? We'll crack on with it!

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Cardiff.

Aimee and Ellen met up in front of Ms S's house on a sunny Saturday, ready to mow, mow, mow the lawn for her. We met by Ms S, a lovely lady living on her own, and an exuberant spaniel, very excited to see some strangers at the door. Ms S explained that her son's family had come to town to see the rugby, and she was dog sitting for them. She thought the task we were meant to be doing - mowing her back garden lawn - would get the dog too excited. So instead, we offered to weed her front garden, which she gratefully accepted.
Ellen got the tools and green bin from the back, and Aimee cracked on with pulling weeds out of the cobbles in the front garden. It was no easy task, and even the trowell wasn't much help! But Aimee and Ellen persevered (as they are wont to do), and did a thorough job in the end - a much neater, tidier front garden for Ms S to feel good about!
