Woodlands Hospice Charitable Trust
We offer free care for people in our community struggling with life limiting illnesses or end of life care. We enable, care and support the whole family through this journey. Offering services such as complementary therapies, pain management, bereavement support and hospice at home. Our aim to to give our patients the best quality of care and support possible. We need to raise £3500.00 a day to keep these services in the hospice running and free for all who need us. We desperately require assistance for physical tasks such as a bag pack in a large Supermarket and Street Collections for a busy 3 day period! These tasks can raise much needed income for Woodlands Hospice and can be fun and rewarding as a team effort!

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.

This is a major fundraising event for The Woodlands Hospice. We are being asked to cover two slots on the day. The first is 9.45am-11.45am to help with the setting up of the event. WE WILL MEET OUTSIDE THE HOPE STREET HOTEL AT 9.15AM AND 12.30PM AND RUN DOWN TO THE START. IF YOU WANT TO WALK OR GET THERE UNDER YOUR OWN STEAM PLEASE MEET AT THE LIVER BUILDING AT 9.45AM OR 1.00PM

Woodlands Hospice is a registered charity dedicated to providing hospice care for the people of North Liverpool, South Sefton and Kirkby in Knowsley. Hospice care, also referred to as 'Specialist Palliative Care', aims to improve the lives of people who have a life-limiting illness. It helps them to live actively and be as independent as they can be and this support often extends to patients' carers, family and close friends. Originally founded in 1996, they are situated in a modern, light and welcoming purpose-built building within the Aintree University Hospital campus. Their care is 'holistic', which means that as well as taking care of patients' physical needs, their emotional, social and spiritual needs are also looked after.
