Mission

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Oxford.

With rain showers circulating, Anwen and Ben donned their gloves and got stuck in to make the garden of Mr J more accessible. Weeds, old cardboard and lots of moss was removed from the patio and any nooks and crannies so that Mr J could once again get out into the garden where he used to enjoy spending his time.

We unearthed an old bike, a cat collar and a couple of ornamental garden cats (noticeably without collars) but we will need to come back another day to trim back the long grass as the strimmer was missing the wire and it was too wet and long to use the lawn mower.

Mr J was very appreciative and provided a welcome cup of tea and offered for us to take a few grapes home. Yes, he has grapes growing in his back garden and they were very nice. Hopefully he can get back in the garden a bit more now.
