Just after some light afternoon showers, Laura and I met in front of Mr and Mrs S’s house. Luckily, the warm sun had reappeared in time for our task. We were greeted and welcomed by our host Mrs S, who showed us to the garden. As the grass was wet, Mrs S suggested it might be good to focus on weeding and lawn edging and to leave the lawn cutting for another time. She gave us some of her gardening tools and we got on with our tasks. Laura, having had loads of gardening experience in the past, did an amazing job with weeding the front part of the garden area. In the meantime, I cut the lawn edges and tidied up the garden by picking up dry leaves. Mrs S was very happy with the outcome and thanked us for our hard work. Being a lovely host, she offered us a hot drink and a snack, yet we kindly declined as we had to go. After a short chat with Mrs S, Laura and I said goodbye and wished her a lovely weekend.
