Furniture moving for Mrs H so she can live downstairs
This will increase her confidence and independence and reduce the risk of falls, as well as reducing carer stress.

We have been asked by Bristol City Council to help Mrs H who is at risk of falling on the stairs. Her stairs present a falls hazard as they are very steep and she is losing confidence and her mobility is decreasing as a result. Her husband and main carer is very stressed because he is always afraid that she is going to fall. This task is for volunteers to move several large pieces of furniture from their front room and take it upstairs, and for some major bedroom furniture to be brought downstairs.
After speaking to Mrs H's daughter, Valerie, we have agreed to postpone this task in view of the snowy weather making travelling difficult today.
She is more than happy for the task to go ahead next weekend instead.
