With the start of session 2, we welcomed some new volunteers to replace those that had left and continued meeting the customers. By this time, the shop was getting busier so we needed to make sure we met as many people as possible to hand the leaflets to. Val's attire - white polo neck under GoodGym shirt seemed to be working miracles in persuading people to consider making a donation - was it her likeness to a Vicar that was working so well? By this time, the donations were coming in thick and fast, and not just single items. We had bag fulls from people, giving a mix of savoury, sweet, Christmas treats, coffee, tea, cereal ..... We managed to fill a trolley with just milk - the milk of human kindness clearly flowing abundantly! Every picture tells a story - from two barely filled trolleys, we filled 4! Given with kindness and restoring faith in people's generosity!

I love combining exercise with doing good with Goodgym. Add to that, we are able to do it by the seaside and that's close to being perfect!
