After a very successful couple of hours with the lovely Sam in charge I took the reins with the help of Judy and Tracey, as well as Jackie from the Foodbank. The donations kept flooding in with the crates stacked up high, full of everything from baked beans and pasta sauce to long life milk and many many jars of coffee! Tracey took the lead in handing out leaflets, ensuring no one off that escalator got past her without one! While Judy was brilliant at packing those crates as full and tidily as possible. I was the afternoon odd job (wo)man, explaining how Portsmouth Foodbank works, lifting and shifting crates, and even testing out the store mobility scooters! I also managed to get a few GoodGym plugs in of course. Overall this afternoon's collection of donations was a great success, and as Tesco says - every little helps.
