Well done to our James for introducing his Dad Mike to the GGR team. Like Father like Son he got suck straight into the job, unloading the large pile of crates at the Food Bank with James showing him the ropes. Irfan (Task Owner) asked Linda to divide up a mountain of toilet rolls which made her very happy as it was in the coolest part of the building and no heavy lifting.

Kathryn arrived and despite her nightmare journey from work wasted no time in starting on a packing list. By this time Irfan decided Linda had had it easy too long and sent her packing too. With the rest of us packing Mike took on the job of breaking and tidying up the boxes and shelf filling the noodles.

The session finished with the usual trolley shuffle and we went our separate ways.

Mike's thoughts on his first task

"I Didn't Run But It Was Fun. It was a busy activity but was made fun by the welcoming, friendly people showing me what to do."

Welcome to the team. P.S. you don't have to run 😁
