Who this task will support
Fine City Neighbours
Fine City Neighbours is a campaign to inspire Norwich residents to build relationships with their neighbours. The aim is to help build informal neighbourhood groups during the pandemic and celebrate those that came about during the last lockdown and those that existed beforehand. This is a project about deepening the fabric of social solidarity for the COVID recovery and beyond. We are producing a website and a postcard to be delivered to houses across the city. The materials we produce will provide advice, guidance and inspiration for street level community building as well as links to more direct support. Fine City Neighbours is about building relationships with people before you need them and they need you.

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.

GoodGym Norwich have teamed up with the Fine City Neighbours project and we have 20,000 postcards that need delivering to people's homes throughout January and February!

These tasks will take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.

You'll collect postcards from Hitch or a Task Force member outside The Forum anytime between 5.30-6.30pm, where you'll be allocated a street or number of streets from our list and then run/walk/cycle to that location to deliver postcards through people's letterboxes.

There should be no need to make contact with people in their homes, but if someone does open their door while you are making a delivery, remember to maintain a 2m distance while speaking with them.

This task should be done individually, with a member of your household or in pairs if you wish to work with someone outside your household, while keeping 2m apart as per government advice.

Bring a head torch and possibly other running light equipment if you have them. Also wear bright reflective clothing.

How are you getting there?
