Fencing but with no touche

Amy, Em, Lara and Sula returned to the Braywick Nature Centre to put a second coat of dark wood preserving stain on the fence by the picnic area. We also put a first coat on the bit of fence that goes round the corner up to a new gate.

We ran out of stain when we were about half way through. So the good news is that this lovely task, which was billed as the 'Grand Finale', was just the first act. We are likely to be back for the rest of the show next Friday lunchtime, so keep your eye on our listings page if you fancy a starring role (or just need a good excuse for some fresh air during your lunch break).

While we were on site we couldn't resist a peak at the amazing new mural covering two of the walls inside the centre. No, those photos included in the run report are not of our handiwork... After the task 3/4 of us did a chatty 2.5km lap of Braywick, complete with thank yous to imaginary Parkrun marshals. The other 1/4 was Lara, who is following a specific training programme, so went for an 8km run. Kudos to you Lara!
