Eau my goodness, what unseasonably warm weather we've been having! This Indian Summer is making the veg, herbs, fruit trees and sunflowers at the Maidenhead Community Allotment thirsty, so Robert and Amy helped out with some extra watering. This was Robert's first trip to this horticultural gem so Amy gave him a quick tour. He then used the hose and Amy used the watering can to make everything nice and soggy.

Amy had run a half marathon earlier for the Magpies 150 Challenge and on her way to the allotment (in the car....shhhhh) she thought she might just kale over, but being surrounded by the lush and orderly vegetation, a lovely chat with Robert, and the rhythm of the sloshing water was surprisingly restorative.
