5 runners ran about town to help promote a campaign for the Children's Heart Surgery Fund.

The group met newbie Hannah for a DBS check and a good welcome chat, then we headed out to hot-step it over town with Grace, Sharon, James, and Lucy. Tonight's task was to help promote the Wear Red Day campaign for the Children's Heart Surgery Fund, by delivering posters to display in local shops and community spaces.

With map in hand, we began our run across the town centre to the places we'd picked out, getting those heart rates going and temperatures up on this chilly evening. The 5 of us together managed to reach a good 7 locations within the hour, with more community spaces and shops further afield being reached by us as individuals before and after the run.

We even had a couple of good chats with some of the shopkeepers on the journey. Getting to know more about the local community is just one of the great things about GoodGym.

After finishing our run back at the starting point, we revisited a classic with a good game of Head, Shoulders, Knees... Phones! Our quads were burning that's for sure. A very thorough stretch finished the whole session off.

Next week, our Group Run will take us back to the BCDP once again to help sort donations. Sign up here!
