4 runners helped out sorting donations at the Barnsley Churches Drop-In Project.

For our last run before the new decade, 4 runners gathered together to help out at the Barnsley Churches Drop-In. We met with Peter, who talked us through the busy week ahead for the Drop-In where they can have over 200 people in need come for food, clothes, and other essentials. Christmas is the busiest time of year, not just for people dropping in, but also for donations - that's where we came in 👍

There were plenty of donations to sort through, and we were put to work in bagging up clothes, sorting out one room specifically for the clothes, sorting out another room for sleeping bags and tents, and finally sorting out food donations into different categories; there were crates for soups, pasta, biscuits, rice, puddings, sauces, and an entire shelf just for baked beans!

We enjoyed chatting to Peter and worked well as a team in getting everything sorted in good time. We wished the team well and then headed back outside for the run back to base.

Regular runner Jason joined us there as we sat down for the Barnsley team Christmas dinner. A great way to celebrate our last group run of the year 🍻🎄

It's been a fantastic year with lots of miles and good deeds achieved by everybody. And now we look forward to 2020!
