Weather decided to be kind to us just in time for this mission so by the time Freya and I arrived, Brian and Julie welcomed us in almost sunny Hogsmill Garden. The main tasks were to clear away pile of rubbish incl bathtub, couple of old bbqs, plastic chairs, rubbish etc to create an area for newly freed garden “shed”. Freeing the shed meant removing tens and tens of plant pots from inside of the structure which we did in the old “conveyor belt” like fashion. Although Brian will have to move the shed again to cement under it, we know it fits and has few more years of life in it. Mission was done in no time and rewarded by Julie’s delicious banana- walnut cake and few pots of herbs for both of us, bringing some of the lovely smells of the garden into our homes. We are looking forward to coming back in month’s time to help some more.
