Creative Youth FUSE International Festival - Venue set up
We believe the right to be creative is fundamental, and should not be exclusive. Creative Youth is a charity based in Kingston upon Thames, London. As the name implies, it was born out of an ambition to encourage and celebrate the creativity of young people – which we define as ages 5 to 26. We held the first International Youth Arts Festival (now called FUSE) at the Rose Theatre in 2009, which has grown to become the largest festival of its kind in the UK. FUSE International is all about bringing the best young artists from all over the world to Kingston every summer. It provides a platform to share and celebrate creative talent. Comprising of 150 events, over 10 days, in over 10 venues around the borough of Kingston, FUSE International would not be possible without our volunteers. Empowering and equipping young people with the skills and confidence to succeed both in life and their chosen careers, in the creative industry or not

The festival itself brings Kingston alive with new creative talent, giving people a chance to see sell out-shows that will go on to perform at places such as Edinburgh Fringe Festival and in some cases, even Broadway. It gives local and international companies a chance to practice their craft and explore the arts as a career.

In terms of GoodGym's help - we rely on volunteers to help pull off this 10 day festival and really value all the help we can get!

FUSE International is a 10 day festival comprising of over 100 arts performances across 10+ venues in Kingston. One of the venues this year is Canbury Gardens, which Creative Youth is turning into a performance space, The Enchanted Garden. Creative Youth needs help packing down the site at the end of the performance day, loading the events van and clearing the site.

Risks
The event is outside, so if it's a warm day please wear sun cream and bring water with you. Please wear closed toe shoes as lifting and moving items around is involved.

Meeting point
If all GoodGym-ers could meet Tina/Creative Youth Team at Canbury Secret Cafe in Canbury Gardens at 4pm on Saturday 9th July. Tina's number is 07928 282832.
