Rachel, Elizabeth , Jonathan met at Sandy Park for a spot of litter picking with Peter from Community Clean up group, along came our Bobby with his group Pockthorpe/SilverRd pickers. Peter gave us the Health &Safety and Covid instructions and gave us all a Green Party high viz jacket, litter pickers and bin back each. We were then given our area instructions ably given by Bobby along with a route map. Well organised Bobby, i new you had it in you to be organised 🤣 us 3 goodgymers went off together. Our area was quite clean really but everything was very wet due to yesterday’s heavy rain. Rachel, however found a pair of men’s dirty briefs 🙈 ! Which did make us laugh. Our other best find was a book with a slug which we put back into the wild before bagging the book. We were then spooked by a tree that was home to some squirrels which scampered around making the scariest noise, the tree however did make us laugh as it looked like a bottom, perhaps the briefs belonged there once upon a time. Soon we made our way back to the meeting point, left our bags for Council collection, admired the array of items left around the back of the garages and made our way home
