Mission

To Collect and Serve

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.

I took my first step into the Brave New World of GoodGym Missions today, by stepping into the queue of early birds outside the Superdrug at Swiss Cottage.

As we all are at the moment, Ms. I is self-isolating so needed her prescription collected. It was all very straightforward and as I left the shop, created a game of polite self-distancing Pac-Man up and down the aisles with the staff and other customers.

When delivering the prescription’s contents to Ms. I’s home, just a few feet away across the garden wall her neighbour was being delivered soup by another helper. Really nice to see people are being taken care of.

Per the new Mission guidelines, I made it super-clear that Ms. I should treat me and the bag as a potential infection risk, and went on my way. PS: I also met the WhatsApp cat emoji in person (see photo)
