Four of us returned for our weekly Wednesday visit to St Anthony’s Church to help out the Antz Kidz Activity Centre, which is a breakfast and after school club for five to 11-year-olds based there.

Each week we have been alternating between indoor and outdoor activities depending on the weather: which last week saw us venture indoors to vacuum, polish and dust the building's vast interior - as well as make a few Tik Toks!

This week there was no chance to pull up a pew as we split into two teams and got down and a bit dusty with some outdoor and garden maintenance.

Sut and Sara, armed with brooms, bags and a wheelbarrow, swept the car park clear from branches, leaves and other debris that had built up there - three wheelbarrows full, in fact! The ladies had had their eyes on doing some car park clearance for a while and were extremely driven to the task at hand!

Jen and I (Sandy) flexed our green fingers with a spot of weeding; with Jen tackling the church's flower beds while I was determined to unpick all the unwelcome leafy pests settled under a grand old tree nearby.

Great efforts by all as we are really starting to feel it in our muscles from all the gardening tasks of late! We're definitelty putting the 'Gym' in GoodGym that's for sure!
