Mission

A lightbulb moment

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

Ms C needed a lightbulb changing. She had been organised and ordered the lightbulbs online in advance. Unfortunately, they were the wrong kind! I was able to help Ms C by measuring her cooker, then headed off with the main job undone.

On my way home, I passed a local Peckham DIY store so, on a whim, thought I'd check if they had the right bulb. Luckily enough, it was in stock, so I called Ms C to see if she wanted me to get it and come back.

It wasn't quite smooth sailing, as the initial bulb was a dud so I had to return and swap it one more time. But eventually, there was light, and we were both very satisfied that we had managed to get the job done.
