This is the greatest show

The outdoor cinema was at Catton Park for 3 days (hence the pun) so extra care was needed around the outside of the finish line on the first circuit to avoid vans and portaloos 😂 still 414 people braved the searing heat on this Bank holiday Saturday parkrun. Myself, Darren,Katy and Bill were marshalling and Andy, Holly and Stephen R ran, Andy only just making the start sprinting off behind the tail walker, by the time he passed me he was well up the field, well done and to Katy who I believe parked your bike for you, all part of the parkrun/GG service. The heat was a struggle today for a lot of attendees and I think Darren up on the exposed Hill marshalling must have been very hot and he didn’t wear a 🧢! Naughty boy. I was in the shade so it was lovely and cool. Katy and Bill were funnel managers keeping everyone in line 😂 . Anyone wanting to volunteer over the next weeks please email the relevant Parkrun with the date you can help them sign up on the GG website to earn a community mission run.
