Welcome to GoodGym Brighton! We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week at the YHA cafe to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects in our area.
The Task:
We'll be making our monthly visit to help out Cll David Gibson and local residents look after the neighbourhood in the Hanover & Elm Grove area.
Expect graffiti painting, litter picking and/or weeding.
The Run/walk:
GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities and it is often possible to walk to the task if you would prefer. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is.

New to GoodGym?
This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.
New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk. Participants accept full responsibility for items stored at YHA Brighton, and YHA Brighton and GoodGym will not be held liable for any losses or damages
Led by Tara Shanahan
Goodgym Area Activator for Brighton. Running since 2009, used to take it seriously, now running for fitness and fun.
Group run cancellation
Following extensive research, consultation with our trustees and work on how GoodGym as a community can play a positive role during the Coronavirus outbreak we have reached the conclusion to make extensive changes to our operations.
**All group runs will stop for the foreseeable future**
This decision has been made as these are the events at which most people gather and at which we are most at risk of spreading infection.
We will continue to update this page with our most up to date guidance:
