7 Sheffield Goodgymers met the lovely residents of Alexandra road to prep the garden and celebrate 25 years since the space was saved from becoming a housing development and developed into the diverse green space it has now become.

Check out the pics of the gardens original plan and initial landscaping, And not to forget the goats that protested for the space to remain for community use (must have been those scary goat eyes that swung it).

Activities included: raking up dried grass from a recent mowing, weeding, cutting back around the picnic bench, litter picking, Shifting and setting up 2 gazebos and tables, covering the tables and putting up bunting.

Following the hard work we all got stuck in to some grub (provided by GGers and local residents), and kicked off the celebration. We all felt happy to be involved in such a worthwhile initiative.

!! We have a regular monthly community mission at this task. Check out the listing and join us in August!!
