Doing a spot of citizen science to monitor wildlife numbers in the Tiny Forest
Location

Date and time
18:30 - 20:30Our Tiny Forest in Dalton is also an important wildlife habitat. To help quantify its impact on local wildlife we’ll be undertaking a count of pollinators, butterflies and ground dwellers for Earthwatch.
No specialist knowledge necessary, training will be provided on the night. All you need to do is sit in the evening sunshine and count the butterflies, bees and other insects as they visit the forest…..how relaxing! Oh, and run there and back of course!
This task is linked to a group run, but not to worry if you are unable to make it for the run bit. You're welcome to meet us at 7pm just for the task, we'll be at Harpe Ing Open Space, Dalton, HD5 9RB.
