What a great night a Goodgym Bexley last night. We were all a "litter" bit excited with our new litter picking kit and it didn't take us long to get in the hang of nipping each other with the litter pickers 😂 Once that had left everybody's system we warmed up and split into two teams for the run. The quick runners led by Jackie run to the 3rd gate of Danson park and I looked after the back runners entering at the second gate, all meeting in the middle at the lake. After a quick safety briefing we got ourselves into pairs and the competition was set. Who would have the heaviest bag by the end of the task. No plastic bottle or crisp packet was safe as our six teams worked their way round the lake like a human hoover.

No plastic bottle or crisp packet was safe

Who would of thought litter picking could be so much fun, especially with a competion eliment thrown in the mix. It was also a great way the spread the word of Goodgym as everyone walking was intrigued to find out who we were and what we were doing. It didn't take long for us to circle and get back to the start point. You could of heard a pin drop as I became judge, jury and executioner. Remember it wasn't how full the bags were, which by the way we're pretty full, I was judging the weight of the bags. It came down to just two and to the delight of Rose and **Fiona the decision was made. With bags now all tied and stashed for collection it was time for the Goodgym Bexley fitness camp. Well it would of been rude not to use all that open space. This evening it was core time, and staying in our teams we kicked of with some plant competitions. Ouch, guys we've got to work on our core strength. I think it was more painful to watch than be in the competition 😂 For dessert it was more core with the delightful introduction to shuttle runs. These can destroy even the fitest of runners and that was my goal. Get everyone as puffed as possible then head Back to base camp Crooklog as fast as possible. Well done last night everyone. It was great to see you, and well done on helping do such a great task. We left the banks of the Danson lake looking brand new 🙌🏻
