A lovely and crisp morning Park Run around QECP followed by time in the sauna and plunge pool. Topped off with cake and coffee in the cafe.

Our task this week is unofficially sponsored by a random game that made up the best part of our litter pick.

We found so many cards, testing our knowledge of "what came first?". Did you know that The Robot dance pre-dates R2D2? Or that sandwiches are older than the USA?

Whilst mini-GGer Alice and I focused on the litter, the guys got down to work unwrapping the now defunct plastic protections from some hedgerow at the Lake Road roundabout. Their proficiency was so good I dramatically underestimated how much they'd get done in such a small space of time!

Mrs I wanted everything cleared from the front garden: weeds, marigolds, and anything else that had established itself ... but she agreed that I could leave the bulbs, to bring some joy to the garden in the Spring.

A pleasant easy task in the fresh air.

Katie did an amazing job tugging up some stubborn, deep-rooted weeds, while I handled the far easier job of weeding the gravel and pots.

It all looked a lot neater after our work.

Mr M and his brother were expecting a bunch of burly men, but got me instead!

Nonetheless, I made a substantial impact on the overgrown garden in 1.5 hours, so hopefully they were pleased with the work of just one GoodGymer!

Some excellent GoodGym action for a Friday early afternoon.

We started with an impromptu litter pick when the wind blue a load of board game cards down the road.

Our first proper task was lifting boxes of carpet tiles (surprisingly heavy) out of the small meeting room so we could then fill it with as much as possible of what was in the big room. Wilson showed epic Tetris skills to fit in an incredible amount of furniture into the small office.

After an hour of moving and handling, pushing, pulling, lifting and shifting, the big room was almost empty, ready for the new carpet tiles to be laid over the weekend.

Fingers crossed the hard physical labour will help with the jetlag for our jetsetters Jen and Dave and there won't be too many aching muscles for any of us in the morning.
